Welcome to 3B
Class 3B is a place where children try their best and have fun learning about lots of interesting topics. We have prepared this page to help you learn more about what happens in our classroom.
Classroom
We spend most of our time in room 12 with Miss Mellor. To help us with our work we have Mrs Faheem, Mrs Hough, Mrs Hussain and Mrs Blyth. We always work in our ability groups and really enjoy working hard as a team to earn points.
What we are learning this year
In year we focus on three main topics. In the Autumn Term we study the Egyptians, in the Spring Term we study the Pirates, and in the Summer Term we study Pakistan. In literacy we are focussing on using fantastic words to make our writing interesting and using connectives to join simple sentences together. In maths we are hoping to learn our 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 10 times tables off by heart. We will also learn about shape, space and measures and will put lots of effort into our work with numbers.
 
What do I need for school?
P.E. is on Monday and I need my kit for this day.
Please ensure I bring my book bag with my library book, planner and reading log in it everyday.
Dinner money should be paid to the office in an envelope on Monday.
Do I have to do work at home?
Miss Mellor will send home a piece of literacy and a piece of maths homework every Friday. It is due in the following Friday.
Spellings will go home on a Monday. The children should practise their spellings with someone in preparation for a spelling test on Thursday.
