Welcome to Class 2B
Classroom
We are situated in the hall (room 7), as a class we aim to work to our full potential and learn new skills through fun, practical but challenging activities. As well as tables for the children to sit at to complete their differentiated work we also have extra provision in the class that runs alongside our current topics. I aim to give as many opportunities for the children to develop acquired and new skills. We work hard as a team to help one another become friendly, hard working children with a positive attitude to learning.
Our work
Each half term we begin a new topic:
Autumn 1 Sept – Oct Keeping Healthy
Autumn 2 Oct – Dec Monsters
Spring 1 Jan - Feb If you go down to the woods today
Spring 2 Feb – April Homes
Summer 1 May – June Mini beasts
Summer 2 June – July Dinosaurs
I plan so that our Literacy work (reading, writing, spelling and speaking and listening) also run alongside the topics. This enables the children to embed more of their learning and use their skills in a variety of different contexts.
