Young Artists of Kirklees- More Information

Background

During 2009 our launch of Young Artists of Kirklees focused on the visual arts with activities taking place at Huddersfield Art Gallery.

The sessions provide Young People with the opportunity to work with practicing artists and professionals to support the development of skills in the visual arts. They are open to all students with a passion for the visual arts regardless of ability.

Young People have the opportunity to work towards the Bronze Arts Award. This is a national qualification which recognises how young people develop as artists and arts leaders. The award is a personal learning programme which develops and assesses both arts related and transferable skills, such as creativity, communication, planning and teamwork.

Places on this programme are limited and subject to application form.
