| I’m pleased to announce that Kirklees LA is piloting eight Creative Partnership ‘Enquiry’ based school awards ahead of our introduction into the creative partnerships scheme in 2009/2010.
The Enquiry Schools programme will enable your school to engage in a three term creative learning programme targeted at a specific group of pupils and teachers. If you choose to participate the school will receive £3,000 and 6 days support; the school will have to put in £1,000 and 6 days of teacher time for CPD. The project will briefly consist of a term to plan, a term to do and a term to reflect based on an area of your own choice of enquiry. As part of the 6 days of the teacher's time, Cape UK will provide three days of professional development - 2days for induction / exploration and a day for reflection and sharing of thinking.
Creative Partnerships is the Government's flagship creativity programme for schools and young people funded by the DCMS and the DCFS. It aims to develop the creativity of young people, raising their aspirations and achievements along with developing the skills of teachers and their ability to work with creative practitioners
